Organizer Tri Lakes Radio is a broadcast partner to ION Indie Magazine and they also carry our
radio show Eye On Jamz. Partnering organizer Indie On Air Records is owned and founded by
ION Indie Magazine journalist Jeff Popka. With so many ION-connections, you could say that
Monument Indie Fest was truly a “family affair” and like coming home.

I want to take a moment to applaud Indie On Air Records and Tri Lakes Radio for going the extra
mile to support indie music of all genres by providing so many bands and artists a platform like
Monument Indie Fest in which to showcase their talent and garner new fans.

The first annual Monument Indie Fest was a most unique festival in that it brought many different
styles and genres of independent artists and bands together that would normally not be seen on
the same stage. As a music lover, it checked off every box that I could hope for in a festival lineup.
While I admittedly was not familiar with most of the bands performing, I left the event as a new fan
of each. This festival is what has been missing in the music community of Colorado Springs and I
hope to see it return and flourish in coming years. Thank you, Monument Indie Fest, and to all the
artists that shared their time and talent with the festival-goers. This was the perfect cap-off to the
summer!
