Richard Lynch is a busy guy. In the world of country music, he has
won numerous awards along with many number one and top ten
hits on the Indie music charts over the last few years. He also hosts
his own show on TV and radio. He tours all across the nation and
has performed and recorded with such greats as David Frizzell, T.
Graham Brown, Rhonda Vincent, Ronnie McDowell, and Tommy
Cash, just to name a few. Richard also owns the Keepin' Country
Farm in Ohio where he hosts a series of concerts each year. He
also created the Love Tattoo Foundation for the purpose of
assisting our veterans.
On top of that, Richard Lynch is a true champion for traditional
country music as evidenced by his newest album release "Think I'll
Carry It On.” The album is what I would call "people put to music,"
with its Americana feel and tried and true steel guitars and fiddles
throughout. “The Old Feed Store,” “We’re American Proud,” and
“Another Honky Tonk Song,” are shining examples of songs that
listeners will immediately relate to and perhaps even experience
some nostalgia about growing up in the good ol' USA.
Lynch’s duets with Leona Williams “Another Honky Tonk Song” and
Ronnie McDowell “Love Tattoo” are incredible and highlight his
exceptionally gifted ability to collaborate with like-minded artists.
The nice thing is that the duets fit right in with the theme of the album
and do not get lost in commerciality. Leona Williams is, of course,
well known for her stellar songwriting and famous duets with Merle
Haggard. She is an amazing singer in her own right and she blends
just beautifully with Richard.
“Fast Times and Easy Money,” “One Breath Away,” “Pray on the
Radio,” and “Back in 1953” tackle subjects often ignored by most
other singers, and that by itself makes "Think I’ll Carry It On" a
worthwhile listen for country music buffs everywhere. In particular,
"Pray" is a true story about a DJ who interviewed Richard and asked
him to pray with him live on the air!
A standout and just plain fun track on this collection is a song called
"Keyboard Cowboy" with a debut appearance from Richard's
talented wife Donna.
