Volbeat, a Danish rock band, was formed by Michael Poulsen in Copenhagen in 2001,
Poulsen, the lead vocalist and guitarist, named the band after an album he released
with an earlier project which was comprised of the words “volume” and “beat” – Vol.Beat.
Joining Poulsen is guitarist, Rob Caggiano, Jon Larsen on drums, and Kaspar Boye
Larsen on bass.

Volbeat released their seventh album, “Rewind, Replay and Rebound,” on August 2,
2019. Their fourth album, “Beyond Hell/Above Heaven,” released in 2010, went double
platinum in Denmark, platinum in Finland and Germany, and gold in the United States,
Sweden, and Austria. Poulsen’s stage presence coupled with the band’s musical
influences of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Black Sabbath, and Metallica, combine for a
unique musical experience.
