The Round Table Conference (RTC) in

August-November 1949 was the

culmination of Indonesia's diplomatic

struggle to achieve full independence.

The Indonesian delegation led by

Mohammad Hatta successfully sat

down with representatives of the

Netherlands and UNCI to discuss the

future of Indonesia. The result of the

RTC was an agreement to hand over
ROUNDTABLE
ROUNDTABLE sovereignty to the Republic of

Indonesia (RIS). Although there were
