2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of
ICT in teaching and learning?

As students, through ICT we are able to gather more data
and information, we are able to extend our resources and
access different websites that enable us to learn about the
subject parse. Also, it allows us to easily answer the
questions provided by the teacher and be informed about
the things which are not clear to us. Moreover, as teachers,
we can utilize ICT to make the teaching and learning easy
for the students. We can make the classroom enjoyable
through different applications provided and also give them
supplementary lectures from the internet. Hence,
sometimes the over usage of ICT is not good in the
teaching and learning process. For example, other
students nowadays tend to rely with cheating and
plagiarism. Also, other teachers instead of actually
interacting with the students they just tend to record
everything or send Youtube link that will serve as students’
lectures. Thus, the mentioned scenarios are the
advantages and disadvantages of ICT in teaching and
learning.
