Psilocin is a psychedelic (hallucinogenic) alkaloids. It is found in most
psychedelic mushrooms together with its phosphorylated counterpart psilocybin.
The red sacred mushrooms, Psilocybe mexicana, contain 0.2-0.4% of psilocybin

                                                                                 and traces of psilocin.

                                                   Action and uses

They are hallucinogenic narcotic alkaloid, may cause serious psychologic
                                                                                            disturbances.

Bufotenine is an indole amine alkaloid. It is found in the skin of some species
of toads, in mushrooms, higher plants and mammals. The name bufotenine
originates from the Bufo genus of toads, which includes several species of
psychoactive toads that secrete bufotoxins from their parotid glands. Bufotenine is
similar in its chemical structure to hallucinogen psilocin (5-hydroxyl-dimethyl-
