Uses
The above mentioned alkaloids, as well as rauwolfia and its
pharmaceutical preparations are useful hypotensive agents. They
are also applied as sedatives, tranquilizers, and in the treatment of
various mental diseases.
Reserpine is superior for the treatment of various mental
diseases.
