Types of TDDSs:
a) Passive delivery:
It is a device that would release drug to the skin at a controlled rate below the maximum the tissue
can accept (According to conc gradient)
b) Active delivery
It uses an energy source such as electricity or ultrasound. Delivery is controlled by the device
thus more reproducible (decrease intersubject variation)
