Types of Chemical markers
• It is a method of analysis suitable for qualitative and quantitative
analysis of volatile components in solid or liquid samples.
• The method is based on the analysis of the vapor phase in
equilibrium with the solid or liquid phase.
• Head-space chromatography is the method of choice for
determining residual solvents in pharmaceutical drugs. Such as
limit of chloroform and ethylacetate in colchicine.
