Intellectual Skills
By the end of the course, the students should be able to:
b1- Differentiate between diseases of similar symptoms and
relate to different health disorders
b2- Assess different patients and relate health conditions with
lifestyle of individuals
b3- Choose the most suitable OTC product for different health
conditions (common cold, cough, otic disorder, foot care,
dermatological disorders and GIT disorders) and propose a plan
of treatment
b4- Examine and revise the prescription, calculate doses,
propose alternatives or complementary therapies
b5- Manage medication therapy for selected chronic diseased
outpatients
b6- Distinguish between self-care candidate patients and those
who need referral

Professional and Practical skills
By the end of the course, the students should be able to:
c1- Apply pharmaceutical care concepts in different health conditions
c2- Apply good dispensing practice
c3- Propose and implement a therapeutic plan for different cases
c4- Solve problems related to drug-disease interaction, drug-drug
interaction or adverse drug reactions
c5- Interpret blood , urine or stool analysis data and relate it to diseases
c6- Demonstrate to the patient how to use or operate different medical
devices or diagnostic tests
c7- Apply patient assessment, counseling, and monitoring when
needed
c8-participate in health screening and disease prevention activities
C9-provide professional counselling on self-care, drugs, selected drug-
allied products and other products naturally and expediently sold at the
pharmacy
