❖"Diazotizaiton & Coupling" [Griess-Illosvay method]

-The nitrite of the test solution is converted to nitrous acid

- Diazonium salt formation with aromatic amine (sulphanilic
acid)

- Coupling with α –naphthyl amine to produce a reddish –
purple azodye.The colored products are measured at the
corresponding max or by Nesslerization comparison
technique.
