☻Nomenclature

• Historically, it has been confusing, some were named according to their
     substrate or reaction type

• International union of Biochemistry made a systemic name for each
     enzyme which indicates:
     – The substrate acted upon
     – The coenzyme involved in the reaction
     – The type of reaction analyzed
     – E.g. Lactate-NAD+-oxidoreductase enzyme

• Enzyme Comission Numerical Code (EC)
