α-Terpineol

Source: Oil of camphor.               3ry alcohol

Uses:
Used extensively in the manufacture of perfumes and cosmetics.

3- Bicyclic monoterpene alcohols:

Borneol occurs in oil of Dryobalanops species.

Uses:
Borneol is used for scenting all kind of technical preparations, room
sprays, inhalants, soaps.

4- Tricyclic sesquiterpene alcohols:

α- Santalol

Source: Sandalwood oil.

Uses:
Sandalwood oil is used as skin
antiseptic.
Its main component, Santalol (about 75%), has antimicrobial properties.
It is used in aromatherapy and to prepare soaps due to this antimicrobial
activity.
Traditionally used to treat gonorrhea and urinary tract infections.
