• Energy Transformation is governed by the Laws of Thermodynamics.
• Energy can be transferred and transformed, but it cannot be created or
destroyed.
• Also known as the law of Conservation of Energy.
2nd Law of Thermodynamics
Each energy transfer or transformation increases the entropy of the universe.
Entropy = a measure of disorder or randomness
