ordered Operation Blue Star, an army assault on Harimandar Sahib.
On the night of June 5-6 Golden Temple complex and 40 other
Gurdwaras were attacked killing thousands of innocent Sikhs - men,
women and children. Tanks and cannons were used. Akal Takhat was
completely destroyed. Artifacts were burnt in the library at
Harimandar Sahib.
Sant Bhindranwale did not survive the operation. He was a selfless
servant of the Khalsa. He was an example of the true Khalsa, who
lived for Truth and died fighting for Truth.
