The 7 Minute Magic: You don’t need to spend hours and hours on anything to

learn it well. What you need to do is to practice that activity EVERY DAY. You
can spend a few minutes and still learn it well. What all can they do in 7
minutes? Try this 7 minute magic process.

1. Reading Fluency Practice: Your goal is to read 15-20 words per minute.
Read the Fluency/Spelling words from Pacing Guide. How many words did you
read?

2. Copy 5-10 words in your notebook from a lesson in Book 1AB.

3. Memorize one new line of Japuji Sahib. Say it 10 times and that’s it.

Level 1AB Curriculum: Mastery of the Alphabet & Punjabi Reading
Students in Level 1 Adv. will learn

 The Gurmukhi alphabet
 Read and write Mukta words
 Names of the rainbow colors in Punjabi

 Counting up to twenty in Punjabi
 Read at least 20 Mukta words per minute

 Know at least 200 vocabulary words in Punjabi
 Memorize One-five Paudiaan Japuji Sahib
 Write name is Punjabi

Grading Policy

Level 1 Adv. Passing Score is = 90%. Grades will be given for:
Midterm 1 = 10% administered at 11th week
Midterm 2 = 10% administered at 21st week

Final Exam = 25% administered at 31st week
Holistic Assessment = 50%

Attendance = 5%
