Palestine, particularly the Gaza Strip, has been enduring an unrelenting humanitarian
crisis. Over 90% of its schools have been damaged or destroyed, leaving more than
600,000 children without access to education, which is totally unfair and unreasonable.
Teenagers in Gaza, once hopeful about their futures, now face daily challenges that no
child should endure. Many have lost family members, homes, and the opportunity to
attend school. Their dreams are often overshadowed by the constant threat of violence
and displacement. Unlike us they live a life and undergo those challenges which no
person deserves to face whatsoever. As I sit in my classroom, with access to books,
teachers, and the internet, I am reminded of the privileges I have. (The ability to learn
without fear and to dream without any sort of limitation) But in the end despite the sorrow
and anger that one has when one daily sees posts and videos of kids crying and suffering
in pain we, you and I really think what can we can truly do to contribute and let me tell
you all there are a few ways by which we can make a difference as every small action
counts even if it's just raising your voice against the wrong.
a) Donate to Trusted Humanitarian Organizations
b) Human Appeal: Offers food, medical supplies and water to all over a million people
in Gaza
Islamic Relief: Channels donations from Pakistan to Gaza for emergency relief.
Al-Khidmat Foundation: Provides ambulances, hospitals, and hygiene kits in Gaza.
c) Advocacy and Awareness
d) Raise Awareness on social media: Share verified information, use hash tags like
#Free Palestine, and participate in online campaigns to inform and mobilize others.
Engage in Peaceful Protests: Participate in local rallies and events to show solidarity
and demand action from international bodies
Support the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) Movement: Advocate for
economic and political pressure on Israel to comply with international law and
Palestinian rights.
