Are they not someone?
Down to the skin on their back,
Everything stripped away,
Now one last chance to have them up again.
Give them something no one can take, Knowledge, education.
Something so common, but only in the ones who are high

Poem: The Ode of Indigence
"The Ode of Indigence"
Starving faces, growling insides,
Audible weeps in a filthy abode.
Not enough to feed or be fed.
Sung by pen, is indigence's ode.
Striving more in the tiny streets,
Is strife, discontent and ignorance
Underneath those who are affluent,
Are those who suffer from negligence?
Is such fate really brought on,
By the verdict of Divinity
Or is it given rise to,
By settlement of humanity's insensitivity
