Farrer’s Barista Heats
Emma is from 2 Sisters Café
and created a cheesecake
inspired showstopper.
The 2 Sisters Café, is located
on the outskirts of Kendal
and is a lovely spot to enjoy
their homemade food and
drinks before heading into
town or The Lakes.
There will be six heats, held until July,
at Farrer’s dedicated Barista Training
Suite located at their Kendal Roastery
& HQ on Shap Road, Kendal.
During the competition stage, each of
the six heats until July will see four
competitors go head-to-head for a
place in the grand final in October.
During the heats competitors will be
put through their paces over two
hours. Judges including Farrer’s
Barista Trainer Michaela Hudson,
score on how they set up, grind, dose
and set up before producing the
drinks.
Rob Baines, Farrer’s General Manager,
remarked: “We’re delighted to reward
the people who serve up our coffee
daily. Baristas are a key component in
helping us deliver truly great coffee
every time – once it’s been harvested,
processed, roasted by our team, MAY/JUNE. 2024 | ISSUE 36
