THERESETTA CATHOLIC SCHOOL: ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS 1.0 POWER
.1 Main Service
Power to the school is obtained from a pole mounted transformer. The secondary feeders are routed underground from the pole location to the main distribution centre that is located in the basement mechanical room. The main distribution centre is the product of Square āDā and was installed in 2009 when the school underwent some renovations. It is rated at 400A, 120/240V, 1- phase, 3-wire and is complete with a 400A, 2P main breaker and feeder breakers of various sizes that feed various loads throughout the school. The main distribution centre has some spare breaker capacity available.
COMMENTS: The main distribution centre is in good condition. The average life cycle of this equipment is 40 years, and should be good till 2049. No action is necessary.
.2 Breaker Panels
Branch circuit breaker panels that are fed from the main distribution centre have been provided throughout the school and are located in strategic locations to provide power to the lighting and other loads in the respective area. The breaker panels were installed in 2009 as part of the school renovations. Most panels have spare spaces available for the addition of future loads, if need be.
COMMENTS: The breaker panels are in good condition and no action is necessary, as breakers for these panels will be available well into the future.
2.0 MOTOR CONTROL .1 Motor Starters
Wall mounted motor starters have been provided in the basement mechanical room and these starters control the motors for mechanical equipment. Starters are the product of Westinghouse and are complete with hand-off-auto selector switches and pilot lights.
COMMENTS: Motor starters are in acceptable condition and no action is 3.0 LIGHTING
