Continuous Improvement Cycle
Planning & Reporting
•School authorities will have more flexibility in the format and structure of both the Annual Education Results Report (AERR) and the Education Plan (EP) so that they can create documents that better meet their needs and reflect local priorities.
•AERR and EP will no longer be a combined document.
•School authorities will continue to receive provincial data in May
and October, but a planning template will no longer be provided. •Key enabling processes (evidence, engagement & learning) for a
cycle of continuous improvement are evident in the EP and AERR.
•The school authority must outline the features of their account- ability/assurance system for their schools in their EP or AERR (i.e., expectations for school EP/AERR process and content; and supports for continuous improvement and assurance in their schools.
•AERRs will be due on November 30 of each year.
•School Authorities will be required to report on ten provincial
measures that align with the five Assurance Domains.
•School authorities are expected to include a local component (measures and narrative) in their results report.
•AERRs will report on the budget for the past year and show a clear connection between budget decisions and pri- orities.
•School authorities are expected to engage with stakehold- ers to share progress on achieving priorities.
•For more information, see the Funding Manual, Section K, “Annual Education Results Report (AERR).”
•The board’s budget for the upcoming year clearly sup- ports priorities.
