Based on the meetings, phone calls, emails, and information sharing sessions with Solut and East Central Catholic staff the following recommendations represent essential considerations to take into account when deciding to transition local Microsoft server infrastructure into a cloud-hosted environment:
1. Renew the existing Dell PowerEdge server SLA for one more year. The cost of renewing the current SLA for another year is $6,314.70. Jason Grilo, NOC Manager at Solut will need to be notified if the school district wishes to extend the current server warranty agreement.
2. Collaboratively develop a strategic server evergreen transition approach that encompasses an aligned, scalable, sustainable, future proof implementation plan to upgrade or migrate the local infrastructure and services to a cloud-hosted platform before any warranty or support service contracts expire on the existing server equipment.

4. Collect and capture pertinent network and Google Apps usage analytics to make an informed decision in regards to the required services for administration, instructional staff, support staff, and students.
5. Collaboratively work with contracted service consultants to research best practice implementation frameworks in regards to providing cloud-hosted Microsoft services over SuperNet and ISP infrastructure and bandwidth.
Note: Need to review SOH network design, bandwidth, and course delivery requirements. (20 Mbps ISP service to InCentre - Edmonton)

Collaboratively develop an ITIL framework with service level support agreements (SLA) that highlight the local IT and contract service responsibilities for the technological infrastructure and services as it aligns to management, instruction, assessment, student learning, and communication practices.

3.Collect and capture pertinent usage analytics to make an informed decision in regards to maintaining or transitioning the local Microsoft server infrastructure as it aligns to the current and anticipated service requirements for the school district. (Microsoft licensing costs TBD)
