OVERVIEW




           The Diploma of Business is perfect for those in professional business roles seeking to

           deepen their existing knowledge and skills and for individuals working as developing
           and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

           As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level
           provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsi-
           bility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.






           This course will suit those seeking the breadth and depth of knowledge across the
           business disciplines of team management, finance, identify and manage business
           risks and Undertake project work. They may work in a wide range of industries, and

           are looking to improve their knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership
           and management, allowing them to gain management skills associated with plan-
           ning, implementation and evaluation of business function.



           The Diploma of Business (Operation) prepares you to transition into Work and fur-
           ther studies in Advance Diploma of Leadership and Management and/or for transi-

           tion to the business workforce at entry level and further your career to Higher Edu-
           cation.

           It will give you a broad introduction to the industry and a range of skills relevant to
           working in the business sector, including foundation skills in:





                Develop critical thinking in others

                Manage budgets and financial plans
                Manage business resources

                Develop workplace policies and procedures for sustainability

                Lead communication in the workplace



           The course is specifically designed for local and international students or profes-
           sionals working in a business role. It focuses on increasing practical skills and the
           capabilities required of contemporary managers and people working in adminis-

           trative roles across a variety of contexts. Assessment tasks focus on applying learn-
           ing  to  the workplace, with a  focus on practical knowledge  that  can be  applied
           directly.
