Lake and Beach Watersports

The large main lake, which is a
unique feature of Quinta do Lago,
can be reached from the villa ei-
ther by car or on foot. It is no more
than a 10 to 15 minute walk or 5
minutes by car.
Lake Activities
The main lake is used exclusively
for non-polluting water-sports and
fishing. You can hire equipment
and have tuition in sailing and
windsurfing. Canoes and pedalos are also available and safety equipment for adults and children
is provided. The Lago Water-Sports Centre is at the southern end of the lake where you can eat
or drink at either the nearby Casa do Lago restaurant or the Shack (see Page 13).Call 289 394 929
for the water-sports centre.

Beach Watersports
During the summer months there
are a variety of water sports
offered at the beach including jet
ski, water ski and parasailing which
can be booked at the Lago water-
sports centre.

Eco Tours
The water-sports centre also or-
ganises escorted eco tours around
the Ria Formosa Nature Park either cycling, canoeing or walking to show you the eco system and
local activities such as salt extraction and traditional fishing.
