P. 11
Just Lie to Me
Needed: Minor acting skills
The Bet: Bet someone that they can't lie to you five times in a row. If they answer with
a lie 5 times, they win. If they tell the truth just once, you win.
The How: Bet someone they can't tell you a lie to 5 questions in a row. Tell them the
game hasn't started yet and ask them if they have played this game before. They will say
no. Start the game.
Ask them 4 stupid questions; then ask, as if they've lied to you, "You've played this
game before, haven't you?!"
They will say, "No, no!" - You win, because they didn't lie to you!
Just Stand Up
Needed: A chair with a cross bar or panel under the front that doesn’t allow you to put
your feet under it.
The Bet: Bet someone that, with one finger, you can easily stop them from standing up
from a chair. They have to sit with their butt completely back into a chair that doesn’t
allow their feet under them. They can’t use their hands or arms. Against one finger, if
they simply stand up in a single movement – from the normal, seated position you
described and without using their hands/arms – they win.
The How: 1. To energize a party, get a free drink or win a little cash, bet someone that,
with one finger, you can easily stop them from standing up from a chair.
2. Have the willing victim sit in a chair that they can’t put their feet under. Make sure
their butt is completely back into the chair and instruct them that they can’t use their
hands/arms.
3. Place one finger on their forehead and watch them struggle to try to standup.
4. Collect your winnings and enjoy your day.
