                                  PASSIVE VOICE.

            Subject : Passive Voice ( Part 1 )
Passive Voice is used to express ideas in which the focus of the sentence is not on the doer
but on the object of the action. The doer of the action is possibly unknown.
            Examples :
            1. Sari wrote the letter.
This sentence focuses on the subject of the sentence. Sari is the person who wrote the
               letter.
            2. The letter was written in bold.
This sentence is different. The focus of the sentence is on what is written, the letter. The
information about who wrote the letter is not important, even though we can add
information about the doer of the action.
               • Sari wrote the letter in bold. (Active Voice Sentence in Simple Past Tense)
               • The letter was written by Sari in bold. ( Passive Voice Sentence in Simple Past Tense)
We can see that an active voice sentence can be changed to a passive voice sentence.
However, it will change the focus of the sentence. The object of the active sentence is
placed as the subject of the passive sentence.
