Dissolved Phase Treatment (Ex Situ)
®
GPRO HP (High Pressure)
®
The GPRO is a versatile tool for groundwater treatment. It
provides a high rate of gas infusion into the groundwater via 36-
microporous hollow fiber flow modules. The GPRO
®
compliments the family of gas infusion applications and extends
gas infusion to new market areas. GPRO systems can be
®
designed for aboveground and below ground applications using
biological, chemical and physical processes depending on the
gas infused and the remediation approach.
The GPRO gas transfer system is unique in its ability to create
®
and maintain stable “controlled atmospheres” in water. This
patented system delivers significant levels of dissolved gases for
various remediation action plans.
®
Where oxygen is the source gas, the GPRO creates and maintains an atmosphere in fresh and
salt water of stable dissolved oxygen, at normal total gas pressures. Unlike more conventional
®
forms of oxygenation, GPRO is temperature independent, and delivers more oxygen with
higher water temperatures.
As oxygen is transferred to the water flowing through the gPRO , nitrogen and other noxious
®
gases are simultaneously removed and vented from the process. This provides more “room” for
®
dissolved oxygen without raising the total gas pressure. GPRO achieves both oxygenation and
nitrogen removal in one operation.
Benefits & Features
®
GPRO is not subject to many limitations of competing technologies. The system only requires
sufficient permeability to extract and/or inject sufficient water to deliver substrates to the
treatment area

• pH adjustment (sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, ammonia)
• Geochemical fixation of metals (hydrogen and sulfur dioxide)
• Oxidation of metals (oxygen)
Physical Treatment
