Chapter Twenty-Four

“You leave old habits behind by starting out with the
thought, ‘I release the need for this in my life’.”
                                       ~Wayne Dyer

Fear and despair have nearly consumed me now.
Exhaustion is my closest companion. I awoke with a
sense of such intense disquiet; it almost seemed futile to
acknowledge it. Yet, I feel this is my last chance to
purge the isolation from within. I've tried every other
option I thought was available to me. None were
effective–not even with minimal influence. I'm lost,
drowning in abject despair with no life vest and not one
person close by to throw me a line. Words of advice
float to me from their places on the shore…

                     "Swim harder!" yelled one.

"Realize that the water is only four feet deep, and
              just stand up!" screamed another.
