 Thus, the dynamic resistance is negative and oscillations of constant

amplitude can be obtained.

 The oscillators using the device of negative resistance are called

negative resistance oscillators.

 The waveform obtained from an oscillator can be sinusoidal or non-

sinusoidal.

 On the basis of waveform, the oscillators are termed as sinusoidal

oscillators, non-sinusoidal or relaxation oscillators.
