steel, stainless steel, ductile cast iron, and cast aluminum.

WP49EG HSS-E substrate with black oxide surface treatment. Use in a variety of materials, K
including steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron. Not recommended for non-ferrous
materials.

Grade P

M
WU40EG Uncoated HSS-E grade with bright surface. Use in easy-to-machine, K
general-purpose applications.
N

WN48EG Coated HSS-E, PVD lower vanadium HSS-E substrate with DLC coating. N
Use for tapping non-ferrous materials with low cutting temperatures like
wrought aluminum. Not recommended for steel.
