His book, Psycho-Cybernetics, went on to reach over 30 million people, and lives on today, long after his death. These days, you can still buy the book. There is also an updated edition, The New Psycho-Cybernetics, that I co-authored. Dr. Maltz came forward with the reason why so many people earnestly attempt to improve their lives with positive thinking but never get anywhere. At the time, this was a radical and controversial concept. Today, just about every book, seminar, philosophy, or approach for helping people help themselves includes Dr. Maltz%u2019s discoveries.In brief, Dr. Maltz became convinced that no amount of conscious positive thinking or attempts at willpower and self-discipline can overcome a negative self-image.
