URBAN PLANNING LANDSCAPE

DESIGN

This course emphasis the aspects and theories of urban
landscape design. It deals with the functions of the urban
spaces, their relationship and visual impact in relation to the
urban context, private or public spaces, indoor or outdoor
spaces It requires creative and intuitive approach with
application of scientific principles together with technical
knowledge to be formulated into guidelines in the creation
of urban spaces suitable for places to live, work and play. It
also involves aspects such as the economics, social and

cultural factors of the people in creating a conducive and
safe environment.

STUDIO PROJECT CONTRIBUTION

The studio project contribution used to design the urban area in Bandar

Pontian and also assess the current urban landscape characters and issues
of the study areas. Furthermore also produce the group site inventory
analysis and individual master plan and detailed plan based on the given
concepts/approaches. Both master plan and individual detailed plan
should be aligned to the impact areas of the Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs ).
