Know Your Audience
1. Avoid terms like “aging” and “elderly.”
2. Be mindful of the size and color of your text. Light colored text on a
dark background is never a good idea.
3. Shorthand text and trendy acronyms aren’t advisable.
4. Don’t be afraid to use more copy. Your audience is not deterred by
lots of reading!
5. Err on the side of over explaining to mitigate the risk of frustrating
someone who may have otherwise been interested in learning more.
6. Testimonials and editorial advertising are effective. Personal
connection and peer reviews build credibility. Be personal - tug at
those heartstrings!
Track Your Efforts
As with anything you do, you’ll want to understand your return
on investment (ROI). Here are a few options for tracking your
marketing efforts:
3 Use dedicated/unique phone numbers.
3 Use a vanity URL (a customized Web address that includes the name
of your business for marketing, branding, and SEO benefits. They are
usually short and descriptive, and can easily be recognized as part of
your business’s branding. For example: AAG.com/InfoKit).
3 Use special offer/promo codes or pin numbers - this is great for
events, incentive offers, etc.
