Description: The mighty Kushihara Castle is a mas- A D
terful creation and one of Japan's most prestigious
strongholds. Constructed shortly after the formation
of the Kushihara Samurai Clan during the Sengoku B
period, its integrity has only been challenge once.
The virtually impenetrable fortress has been the train-
ing facility to all who want to earn the right to serve
the Emperor as samurai, and has protected many of
the nation’s most illustrious figure heads, officials,
and celebrities.
Kushihara Castle: Grounds Level

Height: 83ft. at highest point (25 ft. hill)
Features: A- MAIN GATE
• Stone Security Wall Dimensions= 27ft.x10ft. with a 45° incline.
• Entrance Walkway A top the entrance is a double door gate. Each door

• Horse’s Stable B– STONE SECURITY WALL
• Living Quarters Total Dimensions= 87ft.x87ft.x 10ft.
• Training Halls This wall surrounds the Kushihara fortress. Its base,
which stands two feet high, is four feet thick stone.
• Visitor’s Dining Hall The remainder of the wall is a two foot thick, 8 foot
