Horse must also be shown in at least one halter division all 8 shows. Level 1 (novice) halter classes do not count. NON PRO REINING SADDLE SWEEPSTAKES:
Open to all AQHA Amateur, Select and Youth. You must show in the AQHA Amateur, Select or Youth reining class all three days. Award is for 1 horse / rider combination. The judge’s scores will count with the accumulative score determining the winners. Horse must also be shown in a halter division (youth or Amateur) all 8 shows. Level 1 (novice) halter classes do not count. Entry fee: AQHA reining & halter class entry fee and office fee plus a one (1) time decla- ration fee of $25.00.
LEVEL 1 REINING SADDLE SWEEPSTAKES:
Riders must be eligible for both AQHA Level 1 (Novice) and NRHA Rookie Level 2. You must show in the AQHA Level 1 (Novice) Youth, Amateur or Select reining class all three days. Award is for 1 horse / rider combination. The judge’s score will count with the accumulative score determin- ing the winners. Level 1 (novice) riders may, but are not required to, enter the Non-Pro Sweepstakes. Horse must also be shown in a halter division (Level 1(Novice), youth or amateur) all 8 shows. Entry fee: AQHA Level 1 (Novice) class entry fee and office fee plus a one (1) time declaration fee of $25.00.
NRHA ROOKIE LEVEL 2 DEFINITION: Riders must be eligible for a NRHA Non Pro card. In addi- tion the rider must not have earned in excess of $500.00 NRHA lifetime earnings in all categories, at the start of the NRHA year. This does not include money earned in youth classes. Riders must not have earned more than 100 points in NRHA sanctioned Youth competition.
HIGH POINT & RESERVE OPEN ROPE HORSE:
This saddle & reserve award will be given to the open rope horse accumulating the most points in tie down roping, heading and heeling in all 8 shows using the standards AQHA point system for determining high points. Horse must compete in 2 of the 3 events all 8 shows and must show in halter all 8 shows. Novice halter does not count. Entry fee: Individual rope & halter class entry fee plus a one (1) time declaration fee of $25.00.
HIGH POINT & RESERVE NON PRO ROPE HORSE:
This saddle & reserve award will be given to the non pro (Amateur or Youth Exhibitor) rope horse accumulating the most points in breakaway, tie down roping, heading and heeling in all 8 shows using the standard AQHA point system for determining high points. This award is for one rider / horse combination. Horse must compete in 2 of the 4 events all 8 shows and must show in halter all 8 shows. Novice halter does not count. Entry fee: Individual rope & halter class entry fees plus a one (1) time declaration fee of $25.00.
TIMED EVENT SHOOTOUT:
The top 5 times in the heading and the top 5 times in the heeling for the Thursday go rounds will be invited back to a Shootout round. A Shootout round will be held for the heading (5 teams) and the heeling (5 teams). Times can be from Open, Amateur or Youth classes. Only one entry per horse. Exhibitors may ride more than one horse BUT it must be same rider and horse that competed in the AQHA classes for the shootout round. To be eligible for the money, an exhibitor must show in both (2) go rounds (8 judges). $500.00 will be added in each division (heading & heeling). Winner takes all based on time in the shootout round only. There is no entry fee for the event. Shootout will be held Saturday night following the roping futurity.
RANCH RIDING SHOOTOUT:
The top 15 scores (4 judges) in Ranch Riding for the Thursday go rounds will be invited back to a Shootout round. Scores can be from Open, Amateur or Youth classes (Level 1 classes do not count). Only one entry per horse. Exhibitors may ride more than one horse BUT it must be same rider and horse that competed in the AQHA classes for the shootout round. To be eligible
