2. Build Understanding

Beginning to attempt to see an image two different ways, two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally, may
be difficult for some students. Offer some solutions to help with the process.
1. Begin by studying the individual parts of the three-dimensional shape. Look within the lines. Take note of

what you see. Sketch each piece individually if needed to gain understanding of how they fit together.
2. Rotate the rhombus stickers several times to familiarize yourself with how they look from every angle.
3. Practice forming various shapes with the rhombus stickers before committing to a single correct answer.
