Type Study Jim and Ashley have the same number of Jim Ashley
rocks. They are playing a game of rock,
paper, scissors. Whoever loses at each Round 1
round must give the other person 2 rocks. Round 2
The table to the right shows the four Round 3
rounds Jim and Ashley played. After four Round 4
rounds, Jim lost all his rocks to Ashley.
How many rocks did each player have at
the start of the game?

In round 4, Ashley won, so Jim gave Ashley 2 rocks. How many
