Basic Concepts The Net of a Rectangular Prism
A rectangular prism always has three sets of
four edges of the same length, and the faces
that are opposite each other are of equal shape
and size.
A diagram that shows what a rectangular prism
looks like when it is unfolded is called a
rectangular prism net. When the net is folded,
the lengths of the edges that meet are equal.
The shapes and sizes of opposite faces must also be equal.
Example Draw the net of the rectangular prism below so that it fits exactly
in the grid on the right.
