1 . Mutually exclusive events are events that cannot occur at the same

time. Find the number of possible outcomes for mutually exclusive

events.

a. There are 2 bus routes and 3 bicycle paths

from the house to the zoo. Find the number house

from 1 to 10. Find the number of possible outcomes 24
when pulling out a marble with an even number or a

If events A and B cannot occur at the same time, the number of
outcomes of events A and B is m n, when m = the number of
outcomes of event A, and n = the number of outcomes of event B.
