A WRITING A BOOK REPORT

There are many ways to share information about a book you read.
One way is to write a BOOK REPORT. A BOOK REPORT is more than just a
summary. It should include:

q Title & Author q Characters (people in the book)

q Setting (where & when it happened) q Plot ( problem & resolution)

q Your opinion or reaction to the book

WARM UP Read the sample below. Match the parts of a BOOK REPORT.

SAMPLE

Dance TV

This is a very funny story called Dance TV, by M. Brady.
It is about a girl named Cindy and her five brothers and
sisters. Cindy enters a contest and wins. The prize is a
chance to sing and dance on a TV show. The kids want to
surprise their parents, so they practice secretly. Their
parents are watching TV when the show starts. They are very surprised to
see their six children dancing and singing on TV! This story made me laugh a
lot. I think everyone should read it.
