2 Alphametics

Basic Concepts Addition Alphametics

The use of letters or symbols to replace digits or an entire number in an
arithmetic equation is called alphametics. In alphametics, each letter
represents a different digit, and the leftmost letter or symbol cannot be 0.
When solving an addition alphametics problem, start by finding the
greatest digit. In the following 2-digit addition problem, the number in the
hundreds place, , is always 1, and can either be 1 or 2.
