Wolf Bay
Coordinates: 26.807 S; 15.127 E
Description: A mainland site. Crowned Cormorants nested
on a north-facing cliff, 40 m high in the middle of the Cape
Fur Seal colony (Shaughnessy and Shaughnessy 1978),
the establishment of which may have resulted from distur-
bance of seals at Long Islands by sealing (Crawford 1991).
Conservation status: It is in TKNP and has restricted ac-
cess.
Species and numbers breeding: Crowned Cormorants
have bred at Wolf Bay. Details of counts between 1974 and
2000 are shown on the following table.
