Asexual spores
Sporagiospores:
These are non-motile spores produced inside
structures called sporangia in fungi such as Rhizopus
and Mucor. These spores are dispersed by wind.
Conidia
These are non-motile spores produced singly or in chains at the
tip of the hypha branches that are called conidiophores. Such
spores are produced in fungi like Aspergillus and Penicillium.
Chlamydospores
Thick-walled spore formed as segments within hyphae or at
hyphal tips such as Candida albican
Arthrospores
Fragmentation of septate hyphae into single, thickened
cells such as Coccidioides immitis
