We also set up several high-top tables outside of the tent for guests who did not feel comfortable gathering under the tent. Now all we needed was for the weather to cooperate. . .
The bride and groom arrived in town on October 3, 2020. The weather forecast looked promising. Then on October 4, news reports began talking about Hurricane Delta forming in the Gulf of Mexico. The Hurricane was now scheduled to hit the coast of Louisiana on Monday, October 5, and move in a northeast pattern. By Tuesday, October 6, it was predicted to be a tropical storm to hit South Carolina on October 9-10, specifically Columbia, S.C. What?
For once, the weatherman got the prediction correct. Tropical Storm Delta hit Columbia the morning of October 10. It was supposed to make its way through Columbia and clear out by around 3:00 pm. The wedding was scheduled to start at 6:00 pm. The weatherman was not correct with that prediction. By 5:00 pm, it was still pouring rain in Columbia. Remind you, everything was being held outside. Then, almost miraculously, the rain stopped at 5:45 pm. All the chairs for the ceremony
