were quickly dried off. The clouds completely disappeared, and there was a cool breeze and the weather was almost perfect. The ceremony was delayed 15 minutes, starting at 6:15 pm. The rain stayed away after the clouds cleared. The reception started at 7:00 pm to a beautiful evening. After traditional first dances, welcome to all the guests, and toast to the Bride and Groom, the crowd of about 150 guests ate, drank, and danced the night away to celebrate that Burgess and John were “Finally Fowble” (a hash tag theme used through their engagement that had taken on a new meaning thanks to the pandemic).

At 11:00 pm, the now-married couple rode off from the reception in a 1957 convertible Corvette driven by Senior Federal Judge Joe Anderson, a speaker at several FDCC conferences, to a show of fireworks!
After the wedding weekend, many of the out-of-town wedding party got COVID-19 tests just to be safe. All tests came back negative, and no guests reported contracting the virus during the weekend. So, as they say, All’s Well That Ends Well!
