   Burney Consultants, LLC, which
is well known for training lawyers and law firms on technical issues. Mr. Burney provided excellent tips to the group on how to incorporate the use of the iPad Pro during
a presentation including a trial presentation. Ms. Cheever and Mr. Burney gave illustrations on the flexibility that is provided to the lawyer who opts to use an iPad Pro to make presentations.
Next, the group had dinner on site followed by additional instructions in the breakout sessions. There were four break out rooms including:
1. a room on TrialPad for iPad;
2. a room for iPad basics and beyond;
3. a room to discuss the benefits of screen shot, screen record feature as well as human anatomy atlas; and
On early Saturday morning, Bob Christie, Past President of the FDCC, spoke on “Maximizing the ability to tell our client’s story with technology.” Further, the group had more hands-on training with respect to using various apps and presentation technolo-gies using the iPad Pro.
On Saturday afternoon, the
group then began doing actual presentations using what had been learned. Each participant gave a 20-minute presentation utilizing the iPad Pro, various apps, and various approaches discussed at Tech U. The presentations were similar to what the FDCC member would do in their actual practice.
The presentations were varied and included items such as follows:
1. Opening statement for the defense at trial;

The Timeline 3D app was also discussed in a breakout room devoted to creating bold and effective multimedia timelines. Timeline 3D allows the users to present events and facts in a case to show connections and relationships between the time and the event.

In addition to learning about presentation technologies, attendees also got to observe the best of the FDCC in action (fellow participants). This has the added advantage of allowing attendees to pick up numerous presentation techniques from FedTech U participants.
