SEAN GRIFFIN
Founded in
1960, the FDCC Foundation is the oldest foundation of any defense lawyer organization. During its tenure, the Foundation
has organized and benefited from a number of different fundraising events and this year, its 62nd year, things will be no different!
will be hosting the event taking you step-by-step through the chefs’ cooking process (and maybe she will get them to reveal some of their secrets too)!
The event will be judged by 7 FDCC members who bidded for the coveted judge spots at the Winter Meeting in Palm Desert, raising $4,525 for the Foundation. The lucky judges of the competition are as follows:
• Rob Draper, Relevant Data Technologies (Platinum Sponsor)
• Don Myles, Jones, Skelton & Hochuli
• Bob Christie, Christie Law Group
• Deb Varner, Varner & Von Volkenburg
• Ed Kaplan, Sulloway & Hollis • Steve Farrar
DAN KOHANE
This is going to be a tight battle with the chefs, so we needed a 7th judge to act as a tiebreaker. The 7th judge is the next highest bidder, but we will not reveal the identity of the judge until after the event has begun. The only way to learn who the final judge will be is to sign up for the event!
You do not want to miss this! If you hadn’t already planned to go to the 2022 Annual Meeting, make sure you block your calendar now! This will be an afternoon activity, so look for it when the activities are posted for the Annual Meeting.
Other fundraising for the Annual Meeting is also in the works, and the Foundation will be doing
a raffle for an afternoon on the Christie’s boat, including lunch, of course. Food will also be available during the float plane trip to Friday Harbor, which will also be raffled off
At the Annual Meeting in
Seattle beginning on July 25th,
the FedCooks committee and
the Foundation will host the Federation’s first ever cooking event: Sizzlin’ in Seattle!! This is going to be an epic battle of FDCC members Dan Kohane and Sean Griffin cooking their world-famous paella. Our very own Lynne Ingram
