Reflections on the Winter 2022 Meeting Palm Desert, CA

nationwide class of female leaders through the Ladder Down initiative.
A cocktail reception on the terrace outside the Sinatra Ballroom under the shining stars of a desert night and beautiful string lights set the scene for our social time together.
Our members enjoyed activities that included the following:
Two different guided hikes;
Bike riding along the San Andreas fault line;
Guided tours of mid-century modern architectural masterpieces;
Jeep touring Joshua Tree National Park;
BMW racing with Chris Page winning and Clay Curtis finishing faster than Danica Patrick’s best

the surface from snow melt from the magnificent mountain ranges that border our conference locale – that was the setting for our conference.
Approximately 400 wonderful people gathered to be with friends and to make new friends.

We started our meeting by welcoming an impressive class of new members and by honoring our past Presidents. I loved Bob Christie’s question to each new member and each answer about the member’s most memorable encounter with a famous person.
