earned us a behind the scenes tour of the Zoo with Dr. Danoff-Burg himself! We even got to feed lettuce to the giraffes.
On Wednesday, March 9th, Federation members and their families visited the Zoo for the ultimate VIP experience—a private safari tour by golf cart at every major habitat in the Zoo. Our knowledgeable tour guide, Leo, led us throughout the park, sharing animal facts and park history, and answering all our questions— everyone had fun, was engaged, and walked away with memories to last a lifetime.
The mission of FedSERVES is
to commit to action the FDCC’s guiding principles of civil justice and fellowship through service to the community. We strive to effect change in the communities where our meetings are held, and leave a positive mark through our efforts. Thanks to the vision of First Lady Erin Christie, this service project was born. FedSERVES and the Membership Development Committee embraced the idea from the outset, and the result was a meaningful, memorable experience that connected our Federation family in a significant way.
"Anything else you're interested in is not going to happen if you can't breathe the air and drink the water. Don't sit this one out. Do something. You are by accident of fate alive at an absolutely critical moment in the history of our planet." ~Carl Sagan
