Corporate Member Award is presented
to the Corporate or Industry Member
who has made a particularly meaningful
contribution to the Federation and brings
attention to the individual’s participation
in the FDCC’s projects, seminars,
programs and committees, as well as their
encouragement and support of new members. Kelley J.
Barnett of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. in Cleveland,
OH was honored with the award for her tireless
dedication to the Federation as well as with the FDCC
Foundation’s Ladder Down Chapter in Cleveland.
FDCC Diversity Award is presented
annually on behalf of the entire Federation
to a deserving member whose efforts
during the year embody the spirit of the
organization’s Diversity Statement and
Initiatives, and to expand the mandate
of inclusiveness within our profession.
This year, the Diversity Award, was
presented to Dafney Dubuisson Stokes
of Wong Fleming in Princeton, New
Jersey and to Kelly E. Brilleaux of Irwin
Fritchie Urquhart Moore & Daniels in
New Orleans, Louisiana for their joint
efforts in championing the Federation’s diversity efforts
throughout the year.
FDCC Awardee recognition honors
members who have rendered
distinguished service to the industry, to the
community and for their dedication to the
ideal of free enterprise. Amy L. Miletich
of Miletich, P.C. of Denv er, Colorado
was presented the award for exemplary
and distinguished service to the American system
of free enterprise, the legal industry and the FDCC’s
Community of Members and for her leadership within
the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence.
FDCC Connect Award honors the FDCC
member who best exemplifies the spirit of
using our unparalleled referral network to
send business from one Defense Counsel
Member to another, or from a Corporate
Counsel Member to other Defense
Counsel Members. Martin P. Lavelle of
Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut
received the award.
2024 President’s Award is presented
to a member or certain members at
the discretion of the President based
upon extraordinary service having been
provided to the Federation. Heidi G.
Goebel of Goebel Anderson, P.C. in Salt
Lake City, Utah and Marc H. Harwell of
Harwell & Hurst, PLLC in Chattanooga,
Tennessee were honored with the award
for their dedicated and tireless efforts in
renewing the Federation’s management
contract.
The Federation’s outgoing Directors were also
recognized for their commitment and dedicated years of
Board service: Alison R. Christian (2021-2024);
John C. Trimble (2022-2024); and
Jennifer E. Johnsen (2018-2024).
